Friends of Mandala Table Community Art Project, 2013
In collaboration with ten friends from my hometown of Labin in Croatia, we designed and created an unique table setting inspired by the symbolic form of a mandala. Most of prticipants were new to ceramics, learning and creating side by side in a series of workshops.
The project culminated in a community dinner around the mandala table, featuring vegetarian food, live music, and poetry. Held just before Christmas, the gathering also included a donation drive, with groceries and homemade cookies distributed to elderly residents in collaboration with a local charity.
This initiative can be replicate in other communities, bringing people together through shared creativity, culture, and care.
Nulla Dies Sine Linea - Tea Bowl Diery
In late 2002, a shift to full-time office work distanced me from the studio. In response, I initiated a quiet, daily ritual: the making of one pinched tea bowl each day throughout 2003. Each bowl is stamped with the date on its foot. I glazed them in monthly batches. The repetition became a form of meditation - an exploration of touch, time, and quiet persistence. This daily practice deepened my connection to clay. It reminded me that small, sustained engagment can build a meaningful and lasting body of work.
